		<description>Trying to think of genre movie franchises that have turned out OK despite massive merchandising. Nolan&#039;s Batman...maybe I could think of more if I were actually awake. Anyway, with Star Wars you can clearly see where whatever creative vision Lucas had was corrupted by the merchandising. Such a shame. I think Star Trek can avoid the same fate if Abrams et al can maintain creative integrity, like Nolan.</description>
