Given the consistent levels of fail in Mobile Me sync, I am constantly threatening to dump iCal for paper.

In fact, I even did it in 2008 for several months.

Until one day I lost my calendar.

It took me 2 weeks to find it (fell in between two boxes and down into a 3rd) but by then I had completely panicked about missing meetings, etc.

So I'm back to using iCal.

Which again this morning decided that it no longer wants to sync from my iMac to "the cloud".

*sigh*

Ha! Add in a half-dozen Franklin Planners, Day-Timers, and other binder organizers and you could be talking about me. I've even tried getting my act together via Blackberry, but no dice.

I bought a ton of index cards and clips a while back with the intent of making an hPDA. Thanks for the reminder and nudge to get moving on it. I'll add that to my todo list for the weekend, then hope I can remember where I left it. ;-)

I've heard lots of praise for Remember the Milk. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

"Chaos in my blood". I can relate to that, and the Palm segue, and the index cards, and the Moleskine (list eventually swelled well beyond the moleskine, which ended up as a carrier for a folded piece of 8x11 paper)...

Currently I'm using Appigo Todo on my iPhone and syncing to RTM, but 95% of the time I'm managing tasks on the phone. RTM adds a few extras, like a much-used postpone button, but mostly it's just a datastore.

Well done. My favorite thing about GTD is that each person can adapt it to fit their own personal style, and working procedure. I, too, went through a period of using GTD with my Palm Pilot, then moleskine, then cards, then...

Now I use a notebook, a hPDA, and UltraRecall on my laptop. Works perfect for me.

Thanks for sharing this, I will link it from PiC.
