It’s supposed to be a stylized “2 0 1 2″. The first 2 looks like England, Wales, and Scotland; the 1 looks like Ireland; and the 0 could be the boundaries of London. Dunno what the dot and the 2 are; probably the Isle of Wight or India or something.

I look at it and think ‘some sort of fractured thing that doesn’t fit well together’. I think that captures the spirit of this olympics admirably.
